Looking for ideas to entertain the kids, big and small this half term? From 9.30am on Friday, April 15, home furnishing experts at IKEA Warrington at 910 Europa Boulevard are inviting readers to roll up their sleeves and join in with lots of fun activities to celebrate the opening of its newly built kitchen showroom.
Joining in with the celebrations, Aiden Byrne, local celebrity chef, and still the youngest ever to be awarded a Michelin Star, will be on hand to provide expert tips on how to whip up tasty treats in the kitchen and provide cooking demonstrations throughout the day.
To get in the cooking spirit, anyone who visits the store dressed as a chef will be presented with a free STEKA frying pan*. Other fun activities include demonstrations on how to grow your own vegetables, creative workshops for children to design their own chef’s hat and decorate wooden spoons and a special treasure hunt. There is even a lucky dip enabling the day’s first 100 customers to win an IKEA Gift Card loaded with any amount from £1 to £100!

The new kitchen showroom is packed with lots of ideas to help you create your perfect kitchen and has been specially designed to reflect kitchen living spaces in the local area. It also includes a ‘green’ kitchen room set, which gives tips on how to lead a more sustainable life at home. From the traditional to the high-gloss ultra-modern, there are more than 45 different IKEA kitchen selections to choose from, 15 of which are available to take home on the same day.
