A PROTEST rally is set to be held in Nelson tomorrow by Labour supporters to back the March For The Alternative gathering in London.
Campaigners will gather in the car park of Christ Church, off Carr Road, from 11am, just as the march begins in the capital.
People attending will hear speeches by Nelson county councillors George Adams and Mohammed Iqbal on the cuts programme and how they claim it affects people living in Pendle.
Coun Eileen Ansar will also present a 3,000 name petition opposing the closure of the Carr Road welfare rights office by Lancashire County Council.
