A SENIOR police worker has been suspended over allegations of inappropriate behaviour with a female colleague.
Stuart Fillingham, 62, the head of Lancashire Police’s ICT department based at Hutton, is off work on full pay while an internal investigation is launched.
He was reported to bosses over his alleged conduct with ICT project leader Jan Booth, 56.
A force spokesman said: “A 62-year-old-male member of police staff has been suspended following allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
“A 56-year-old female member of police staff is also under investigation following the allegations of inappropriate behaviour, however, she has not been suspended.
“An investigation is ongoing.”
Ms Booth is a member of the UNISON union, but Mr Fillingham is not.
UNISON branch secretary Maureen le Marinel said: “We will support our member whilst this investigation is taking place.
“The right and proper processes must be followed before any decision or formal action can be taken.”
