A RAMSBOTTOM man has been given a community order and restraining order after admitting battery.

Kevin McKenna, aged 49, of Lancaster Avenue, pleaded guilty to three counts of assault on December 5 last year.

McKenna was given a three-month curfew which means he must stay at his home between the hours of 8pm and 5am.

He appeared at Bury Magistrates’ Court and was ordered to pay £200 in court costs and compensation payments totalling £200.
