SALES at Asda, which has six East Lancashire stores, leapt 1.6 per cent in the last quarter.
The supermarket giant said like-for-like sales rose in the three months to the end of January, with 800,000 customers using its price comparison guarantee.
The sales were revealed as part of parent company Wal-Mart’s figures.
Asda has stores in Blackburn, Clayton Green in Chorley, Accrington, Haslingden, Burnley and Colne.
