AN 18-YEAR-OLD man wrapped his arms round his ex-girlfriend’s waist and then sank his teeth into her shoulder because she went out with friends when she said she wasn’t going to.

Blackburn magistrates heard that after the incident the girl told her friends she would not be ordered about by Sam Phillip Clarke and was staying out.

But when he saw her again later in the night Clarke he again clamped hold of her before biting down hard on her shoulder.

She told police that as she tried to struggle free she could feel her skin ripping.

Clarke, of Shallow Valley Court, Accrington, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault causing actual bodily harm.

The magistrates said they needed a report before sentencing Clarke but said their assessment of the offence would lead to a 48-week custodial sentence.

Clarke was remanded in custody for the preparation of the report.
