LANCASHIRE police has joined forces with Merseyside police in a bid to crack down on criminals who cross the borders of the county to commit crime.

As part of the initiative a number of warrants have been executed at the homes of suspected offenders under the Theft Act.

Inspector Steve Evans, from Lancashire Constabulary, said: “Lancashire’s residents should be reassured that we are doing everything we can to target those who travel into the county to commit crime.”

Three people from Liverpool have been arrested over the past two weeks in connection with burglaries in Chorley area.
