A POLISH man who was the victim of a brutal assault has been discharged from hospital.
He suffered serious head injuries at the junction of Winewall Road and Cotton Tree Lane, Trawden, on August 5.
The 28-year-old was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital, where he was put on a ventilator before his condition improved.
Two men, aged 18 and 20, were arrested. The 18-year-old was released without charge and the 20-year-old on bail.
A file was passed to the Crown Prosecution Service who decided no further action should be taken.
