BLACKBURN Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has released a charity single to raise cash for poor children in his homeland of Paraguay.
The 29-year-old recorded pop tune Let Your Love Shine with Dutch singer Beate Alexandra through his own charity foundation.
He said he now hoped people would download the track and support the Roque Santa Cruz Foundation.

He said: “When I grew up in Paraguay, I experienced a lot of poverty around me.
"Now my status as a professional soccer player allows me to help others.
"Giselle (his wife) and I, together with my family, have been supporting children with our foundation for many years. But still there’s a lot more to do.
"That is why the Roque Santa Cruz Foundation has been set up; to offer as many people and companies the opportunity to help me fulfill my dream; to help as many underprivileged children as possible.”
Roque rejoined Rovers this month in a loan deal.
He has been involved in pop music before - in 2004 he appeared in the video and sang on the chorus of German rock band Sportfreunde Stiller’s hit Ich Roque, a pun on the phrase “I Rock”.
He set up the charity in Paraguay several years ago but has now set up the venture in Europe and has released the song to launched the new charity.
Roque said: “The general goal of the Roque Santa Cruz Foundation is to help children to have a better future.
"The children in Paraguay don’t have enough drinking facilities, there is malnutrition, a lack of education and most of the population is without sanitation facilities.
“That’s where the Roque Santa Cruz Foundation really wants to try and make a change.”
