FOUR men have been arrested over a bowling alley brawl in which the suspects fled the scene in a Rolls Royce and Lamborghini.

Detectives have now traced the victims of a ‘nasty assault’ at the Bowlplex building, inside the Vue Cinema in Blackburn town centre, in which a 20-year-old local man suffered a cut to the head caused by a beer glass.

A 41-year-old man and his 42-year-old female partner also became involved in the altercation and were assaulted, suffering minor injuries.

One line of inquiry police used to track suspects was to trace the expensive hire cars seen leaving the Peel Leisure and Retail Park, Lower Audley Street, minutes after the brawl at 9.30pm on December 27.

Three men aged 23, 25, and 26, from the Blackburn area and a 21-year-old from Brierfield, were all arrested yesterday and questioned on suspicion of violent disorder, wounding with intent and witness intimidation.

They have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Blackburn CID said they had spoken to a large number of witnesses who had seen the incident in the bar area close to the games machines, and come forward.

It was also captured on CCTV.

Police said the gang of attackers used ‘improvised weapons’ of pool cues and beer glasses.
