ALMOST 100 new staff are set to be moved to a growing Pendle business.

Nelson telecoms firm Daisy Group is switching 90 workers from Wigan after taking over rival SpiriTel last year.

Bosses hope the deal will give Daisy a stronger foothold in the telephone systems market.

Gareth Kirkwood, chief operating officer at Daisy, based on the Lomeshaye industrial estate, said: “By operating from a central location we will have greater scalability, which in turn will provide a greater level of customer service, accommodating further growth that is linked to our future development plans.”

The move means SpiriTel’s Wigan office will be closed in the next few weeks.
