A GRANDMA recovering from a serious car crash in America has thanked the Lancashire Telegraph for making contact with her insurance company.
Wendy Sullivan, 53, cannot yet return home to Eccleshill Gardens, Darwen, after suffering cracked ribs and damaged vertebrae in the New Year’s Eve accident.
Mrs Sullivan and husband David said they had only received offers of help from travel firm Insure and Go since the Lancashire Telegraph intervened.
She said: “The insurance company people are offering us this, that and the other.
"I am very glad this has been achieved.”
