THIS is the face of a man who is wanted for questioning after a Burnley woman was subjected to a 20-minute sex attack ordeal.

The 28-year-old victim was walking to her home in Westgate, from the town centre, on New Year’s Eve, when she was approached close to an underpass leading to Accrington Road.

The attacker is said to be Asian, aged between 17 and 19, around 5ft 7ins tall, slim, with short dark hair.

He has a distinctive circular scar on the right-hand side of his chin.

He wore a thick gold necklace, a black waist-length zip-up jacket, a white t-shirt, light blue jeans and bright red boots with black laces.

Detective Inspector Derry Crorken, of Burnley CID, said: “I would urge anyone that recognises this man or has any information that could help with our in-vestigation to get in touch.”

Police initially said the victim was 18, but have now revealed she is 28.
