A 27-year-old Stacksteads man involved in an early hours rumpus over a taxi fare was fined £100 by Burnley magistrates.
The court was told Steven Haworth, of Unsworth Street, made offensive comments about the driver and was abusive after police arrived.
The defendant admitted racially aggravated disorderly behaviour.
He was also to pay £43 costs.
