A WOMAN was arrested after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a knife during a drunken argument at their Burnley home.
Police said they were called to a house in Brownhill Avenue in the Brunshaw area after a 28-year-old man called officers saying he had been stabbed by his partner.
The incident happened at around 11.50pm on Tuesday.
Police investigating the incident said the victim received treatment from paramedics at the scene for minor cuts to his arm sustained during the attack. However he did not require hospital treatment.
Sergeant Vicki Haworth, of Burnley Police, said: "We were called to a domestic related argument at an address in Brownhill Avenue on Tuesday night.
"The couple were both drunk and it appears the woman has assaulted her partner with a knife.
"He received minor injuries to his arm as a result of the incident."
A 23-year-old woman was arrested and quizzed by police in connection with the incident.
The woman has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
