HYNDBURN Council has launched a "Bin the Banger" campaign to tackle abandoned vehicles.
Owners can contact the council, which will dispose of unwanted vehicles free of charge.
The scheme will run from Monday until the end of the month.
The council receives 20 reports each month about vehicles which may have been abandoned.
Coun Peter Clarke said: "Abandoned vehicles blight the environment, are dangerous and can lead to further crime.
"We are keen to reduce the number of abandoned vehicles as part of our commitment to providing safer, cleaner and greener communities."
