A MAN has appeared in court charged with kidnapping a Haslingden teenager and carrying out a string of sex attacks on her.
A second man also appeared at Burnley Magistrates Court charged with offences relating to the girl's abduction.
The 14-year-old girl sparked a police hunt when she was reported missing on Sunday, July 9.
She was later found at an address in Accrington.
David Higgs, 23, of Burnley Road, Accrington, was charged with four counts of sexual activity with a child under 16, abduction, false imprisonment and administering a noxious substance.
Christopher Williams, 44, of Blackburn Road, Accrington, was charged with abduction, false imprisonment and administering a noxious substance.
At court both men were remanded in custody to appear at Burnley Crown Court on October 30.
