A PUB landlord has hailed the "fabulous" response to his decision to stop showing sports events in his bar.
The Craven Heifer in Rawtenstall has reopened after a refurbishment and landlord Peter Furnival said the decision to stop live entertainment and TV sports had been welcomed by customers.
He said: "The response has been very good.
"We have been very busy over the last couple of weeks and we are really enjoying it here."
Mr Furnival, 60, took over at the Moorhouses Brewery pub in Burnley Road four weeks ago along with his wife Hilary, 55.
They previously ran the Rose and Crown in Carr Street, Ramsbottom, for eight years.
