A REGULAR networking club for Ribble Valley businesses has kicked off, with members expected to make an extra £26,000 profit by taking part.
So far more than 20 firms have committed to joining the breakfast meetings, which will take place every Thursday morning at the Clarion Hotel, Whalley Road, Billington.
The events are organised by BNI(Business Network International), an organisation with more than 500 groups across the country, and leaders estimate firms which attend on average earn £26,000 extra a year thanks to the networking which takes place.
Now the group, which also has members from other areas of East Lancashire including Accrington, is hoping to attract new members.
Niall McConachie, BNI assistant area director, said: "We have been building things up steadily towards the launch via word of mouth and the response from businesses in the area has been excellent.
"We are particularly looking for local graphic design agencies, sign writers, printers and car dealerships to join."
Companies already involved in the meetings include Houldsworth Solicitors, Clitheroe, Cummins Mellor Recruitment, Accrington, CopycatWeb, Clayton Le Moors, and Base Systems, Blackburn.
Founder member Derek Russell, said: "I have been involved from the start and it has already proved good for business."
Meetings are held from 7-8.30am and take place over a light breakfast.
