AN East Lancashire mum is on the road to stardom after she was chosen to to front a national 'real woman' advertising campaign.

Alison Moore, will feature on billboards modelling dresses for Ultimo Couture, a new womenswear line from lingerie giant Ultimo.

The full-time mum-of-two was picked from over 2,000 women through an online Facebook competition to model Ultimo’s new range of glamorous cocktail dresses.

Alison, a former neonatal nurse at Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley College student, lived in Copthurst Avenue, Higham, before moving to Surrey with her young family last autumn.

She was treated to an all-expenses-paid VIP trip to London for the photoshoot where she was given a glamorous makeover.

Alison, who is currently a full-time mum to Louis, three, Isabelle, one, said: “Never in a million years did I think I would get through and even on the day, when I was surrounded by celebrity stylists and hair and makeup artists, I had to pinch myself!

"I felt like a superstar and I’m so delighted with the final results, the pictures are amazing.”

The final 14 include women from all over the UK, including Liverpool, London, Glasgow and Edinburgh, ranging from ages 20 – 53 years old and sizes 8-18.

The campaign launches this week and will see Alison’s un-airbrushed image showcased across Debenhams stores across the UK and online at ultimo.co.uk.

Alison said: “I’m so delighted to be part of it all.

"The campaign sends out such a positive message to ‘real’ women like me, proving that you don’t have to be a supermodel to be beautiful.

"I felt like a superstar for the day and just so glamorous.”
