The new North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust was launched today.
With its headquarters in Bolton, it has been created following the merger of Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cumbria and Mersey services.
The trust will cover an area of 5,500 square miles and serve a population of seven million.
It will operate from 114 ambulance stations and employ 4,500 staff.
