RESTAURANTS that offer a takeaway service can be a little more pricey than your standard establishment but I've very rarely resented having to pay that little bit more.

And once again I didn't begrudge shelling out over £14 for two meals from the Great Village.

You can just tell when dishes have been prepared with care and with the freshest of ingredients. The blend of flavours just work better, the dishes even look better on the plate somehow.

We chose the sechuan king prawn and the crispy, spicy beef both with boiled rice.

Having phoned through the order, it was ready within 20 minutes.

The crispy beef was subtley hot and the prawn dish had a nice tang to it.

The portions may not be the largest but quality is always better than quantity in my book and you certainly cannot fault Great Village for its quality.
