A SECOND vehicle has been seized by police in Colne as part of a crackdown.
A 17-year-old boy's moped was confiscated by Vivary Bridge community beat manager PC Andrew Baldwin.
The boy is alleged to have driven without insurance and with three young girls on the back of it.
And PC Baldwin said: "The dangerous and illegal use of bikes is a real concern for local people.
"And not just because of the associated noise and nuisance.
"People have real fears for the safety of the drivers and their passengers."
PC Baldwin patrols the North Valley Estate, Alkincoates Park, Barrowford Road and Red Lane.
He is accompanied by a team of neighbourhood response officers.
He added: "We hope this latest bike seizure will reassure the public that we are taking action and encourage other people to come forward and report incidents, confident in the knowledge that once we identify the offender, we can and will take their bikes away."
