A STREET drinking ban comes into force in the Edisford, Henthorn, Low Moor and Primrose areas of Clitheroe on Thursday.
Anyone caught drinking could be fined up to £500 under new powers introduced as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour.
Police will also now be able to confiscate alcohol under the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001.
Similar orders covering Clitheroe town centre, Longridge town centre and the several villages have already been introduced by Ribble Valley Borough Council.
Maps showing the exact areas covered by the order are available for inspection at the Ribble Valley Borough Council Offices in Church Walk, Clitheroe.
