A PROJECT to celebrate small local shops in the area is coming to Oswaldtwistle next month.
The Talking Shop scheme, which is being run by the Mid-Pennine Arts group, will see photographers and interviewers going in to shops in the town to take pictures of shopkeepers.
The snaps will eventually form part of an exhibition at Oswaldtwistle Mills.
Organisers said the project aims to show how local shops and businesses have changed as regeneration projects go on around them.
A similar initiative has already taken place in Burnley when pictures of the shops and their staff were exhibited on a mobile gallery through the town.
The exhibition of the Oswaldtwistle photographs takes place at Oswaldtwistle Mills between September 1 and 8 and every participating shop will receive a souvenir postcard pack.
The photography project begins on July 6 in Union Road.
