A FORWARD-thinking East Lancashire firm has invested in nine workers after training them up.
The staff at Longridge-based building supplies company OBAS UK have all attained NVQ Level 2 qualifications.
Among them is managing director Norman Tenray, who is now a qualified forklift truck driver.
OBAS, based in Chapel Hill, supplies 26,000 customers with plumbing, building and decorating items.
Mr Tenray said: “We are deeply committed to providing staff with all the relevant support and training we can offer them, and I was only too pleased to take part in the warehouse training myself.
“OBAS is committed to the best possible service for customers.”
