Police are hunting a teenager who stole a mobile phone from another youngster in a late-night confrontation in Clayton-le-Moors.
The 15-year-old victim was approached at just before 10pm on Friday by a baseball-cap wearing thug who demanded that he empty his pockets.
Sgt Ian Corbett said that the youngster refused but then had his silver Motorola phone grabbed from his pocket.
Sgt Corbett said the offender was five feet five inches tall and slim with brown hair.
