Lancashire organisations leading the way in regeneration are invited to enter a North West award scheme.
Renew Northwest, promotes regeneration projects across the region, and wants to hear from private, public, community, and voluntary sectors that have been involved in projects during the last 18 months.
The Renew Northwest Exemplar Learning Programme for 2007, will showcase the best examples in making a contribution to sustainable development across the region.
One of last year's winners was the Another Place project, in South Sefton, that featured dozens of cast iron models staring out from a beach towards the sea.
Phil Barton, director of Renew Northwest said: "Regeneration is about vision; about imagining and then making real, new and improved possibilities for communities.
"However, regeneration does not happen overnight.
"Renew Northwest understands the challenges of regeneration, that it is hard and demanding work, requiring a multitude of skills, patience, tenacity and innovation.
"Many involved in regeneration are unsung heroes, dedicating their careers and lives to making a difference in our local communities."
