A BLACKBURN chippy was racing to supply its biggest ever order supplying 200 portions of chips for a wedding reception!
The Fountain Chip Shop, Accrington Road, spent hours preparing the massive order, worth about £175, for the event to be held at Jan's Conference Centre, Higher Audley Street, on Friday, June 2.
Details of the wedding have not been revealed but Gulam Musa believed he was chosen because his chips were the best in the area.
He said: "It's the biggest order I have ever had.
"I asked them would it not be better to go to ten different shops and get a few portions at each but he liked my chips!"
Carrie Margerison, 25, of Blackburn, pictured. was one of the shop workers rushed off her feet to get the order out.
