A TEENAGER who flouted an anti-social behaviour order by breaking a car wing mirror was spared jail but was warned it would be prison next time.

Daniel Karl Waddington, 18, was not allowed to cause or threaten damage under his ASBO, but kicked the vehicle, causing £30 damage, Burnley magistrates were told.

Waddington, of Lynd-hurst Road, Burnley, admitted breaching the order on March 1.

The bench, who told him his actions were "pure wanton damage", gave him 12 months super-vision with a four month curfew, between 9pm and 7am, seven days a week. He must also pay £70 costs.

The bench chairman told the defendant they were giving him a chance.

Philip Turner, defending, said Waddington suffered attention deficit hyperactive disorder, but was not on medication.

The defendant had been playfighting with his brother and the offence would not ordinarily lead to someone losing their liberty.
