The Ghettobillies are a raucous, crazy mix of lustful country funk and disco bluegrass. All the way from Chicago, they're coming to the Burnley on February 25.

We asked their drummer 'Holy' about Chicago, music and why they plan to conquer the British charts.

Chicago is known for being windy, but tell us what else is great about your home city. Food! Chicago is also known as the City of Big Shoulders, which is a polite way of saying City of Fat Bottoms. That's right, we like everything big. Our buildings are tall, our streets are wide and our butts are bulging. Seriously, Chicago is fantastic because it has most of the amenities of New York and London but the cost of living is about half of those places. Our wide variety of cultures assures that you can get a first rate curry right across the road.

It's impossible to classify your style of music, but if you had a gun to your head, how would you classify it? Rock. But it's not limited to radio rock, it's rock that draws from the history of rock from blues onwards. You will hear elements of James Brown, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Zappa, AC/DC, Green Day, Muse, Jamiroquai and the list goes on and on. It's not that you can't classify our style it's just that you can't really classify it in one concise soundbite. It is remarkable and encouraging at our UK shows to see the variety of people who really dig our music.

You're trying to get into the British charts, why do you think you should be top of the pops? The way I see it, it's to everyone's advantage that we get extremely rich and famous.

What's your all time favourite song and why? Freebird by Skynyrd. You need a reason?
