SHOPPERS in Accrington have been warned to watch out after two elderly women were targeted by purse snatchers.
The women, one 86 and the other 64-years-old, had cash, cheque books and bank books stolen in separate incidents last Friday.
PC Caroline Worden said the thefts were part of a "worrying trend."
She said that in each instance items had been stolen from bags without the victim realising until later.
