TWO young Rossendale entrepreneurs are hoping to create their own business empire after expanding their first company.

Adam Hindle, of Clough Street, Waterfoot, and Jon Greenwood, who hails from Rawtenstall but now lives in Hollins Lane, Baxenden, have known each other since childhood and opened graphic design business Fluid Media three years ago.

Now the pair still only 24 have expanded the company by buying into printing franchise Printing.com in Bury.

They believe their internet-based printing business and top notch customer service will be a recipe for success and hope to have several shops across East Lancashire within the next five years.

Adam said: "Jon has a degree in graphic design and I had been studying website design in my spare time.

"I worked in accountancy for six years, which I hated, so I decided to get out of that and with John's graphic design degree and my business experience we decided to set up out own business. Hopefully in five years we'll have three or four Printing.com franchises throughout East Lancashire.

"We've got our eye on other towns in East Lancashire. Hopefully in a few months we'll be taking someone on in Bury and Jon and I will be splitting the work between us with one opening a new store.

"It's fantastic working for ourselves. It's a lot more hard work, with ten hour days and it's not that rewarding for the first couple of years but after that it is a lot more rewarding."

Adam and Jon, whose mothers are best friends, decided to expand into printing after struggling to find good quality printers for their work.

Adam said: "When we discovered there was an opportunity to open up a fran-chise in Bury it was too good to be true.

"It means we can continue to offer our design services but also offer a printing service too. It's the perfect fit from a business perspective."
