A LONG-awaited £90,000 multi-use games area is due to open in Baxenden this weekend.
The facility will allow young people to play team games in a safe, well-lit place.
The games area has been provided by Baxenden Youth Action Group and supported by Baxenden Area Council.
It will be opened by the Mayor of Hyndburn, CounJanet Storey, at 2pm on Saturday.
Funding has come from Baxenden Area Council, Hollands Pies, Hyndburn Council, Hyndburn Community Network, the county council, Lanc-ashire Environmental Fund, Lancashire Small Sites Programme, Lancashire Youth and Com-munity Services, Living Spaces and the Lottery.
