MOTHERS with young children in Darwen are being given an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation while learning a new skill.
The Women's Centre, based in Blackburn, will run free courses at venues in Darwen for women with pre-school children living in the Sure Start area.
Family first-aid workshops will run on Mondays, between 1pm and 3pm at Earcroft Community Base.
Places are available on a Tai Chi course at Darwen Children's Centre on Wednesdays, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
And a course entitled Taking Control of Your Life will be held at the centre on Thursdays, from 1pm to 3pm.
A creche is available for the first-aid and the Taking Control of Your Life courses.
