A BOGUS charity collector who claimed to be helping victims of the Kashmir earthquake has been warned he is facing a jail term.
Shabir Hussain, 28, of Tavistock Street, Nelson, called at the homes of elderly people pretending to collect cash and stole cash while the householders were distracted, a court had earlier heard
He stole £300 each from two Nelson pensioners aged 90 and 81, both of whom had given him donations.
Hussain admitted at Burnley Crown Court to three burglaries. He was remanded in custody until February 10 for a pre-sentence report.
