HAS Blackburn with Darwen Council got it right on parking fees? Or better still has it got it right on anything?
A new year and already the council is sticking two fingers up to the long suffering people of the borough.
Local officials get no increase in parking fees, while everybody else pays for it.
Every time you mention the council to friends, they all say the same thing. "What a shower runs the town."
But every May at the elections somebody stops us getting rid of this shambles of a council. Who are these people? Do they descend on Blackburn and Darwen just at elections or do they actually see the damage being inflicted on the rest of the people?
The wasted money on stupid "artwork" while disabled people have to put up with no proper respite facilities, or ancient day centres.
Please free us from this council before Blackburn becomes a "rotten" borough never mind a "city."
