Chorley Football Club will be fitter than ever in 2006 thanks to a new partnership with Chorley Fitness.

Richard Ellis, managing director of Chorley Fitness has welcomed the first team and reserve squad to use the new state of the art fitness suite.

Chorley FC manager Shaun Teale will be conducting regular training sessions and personal fitness appraisals for players along with the health club's team of qualified consultants.

In appreciation of their support, the Magpies presented a signed first team shirt to the health club on their first visit last Thursday.

Chorley FC will endorse Chorley Fitness, which is on Chapel Street next to the Chorley Interchange bus station, and will promote the facility at matches and on special sponsorship days.

Richard Ellis said: "We are proud to have taken this opportunity to give something back to the community by supporting our local team and hope that with our combined efforts Chorley Football Club will hit league status in the very near future therefore having a major positive impact in the town as a whole."

The Magpies Trust, Chorley FC's Supporters' Trust, played an important part in making this partnership happen.

Mark Rees, Chair of the Magpies Trust, said: "This is a great deal for Chorley FC. The club now has a fixed venue for indoor training, and we hope that Chorley Fitness will benefit from the publicity and increased membership that comes from association with their local team.

"It's great to see local businesses supporting their local football club, and I hope this is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship."
