ROVERS midfielder David Thompson has been linked with a January move to Wigan Athletic.
The former Liverpool star, who is out of contract in the summer, is reported to be a target for the Latics, who could test the water with a bid in the region of £250,000 before the end of the month.
Thompson has struggled to nail down a place in the first team since recovering from knee and ankle injuries and was left out of the 16 altogether for Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final first leg with Manchester United.
