Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes is looking to invite Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan for a trial later in the year, providing the 19-year-old can get a work permit to enter the country.
Annan plays for African club side Accra Hearts of Oak and, despite his lack of top-class experience, he's described as a capable midfielder who's strong in possession.
Rovers' executive chairman, John Williams, said: "We are looking at players all the time and it makes sense to try and bring them over so we can have a closer look at them."
Hughes is also thought to be planning on taking a look at a Polish centre back as he scours the globe for fresh young talent to take the club forward.
