Burnley midfielder Micah Hyde could miss a potentially explosive reunion with Leeds United after being charged with violent conduct by the FA.

Hyde, who faces the disciplinary charge following a bust up in the tunnel at the end of the fiery clash with United last weekend, has until November 2 to respond.

And with the offence carrying a three-match ban if found guilty, there remains the possibility that the Jamaican international could be ruled out of the return clash at Elland Road on November 22.

Meanwhile, Danny Karbassiyoon could make his first appearance on the team sheet for over two months in tomorrow's clash away to Crystal Palace.

A mysterious pelvic injury has limited the 21-year-old American to just one appearance as an unused substitute against Sheffield United since joining the Clarets from Arsenal over the summer.

But with Hyde suspended for the Carling Cup tie at Aston Villa on Tuesday following a fifth booking in midweek, Karbassiyoon's return could prove a timely one.

Assistant manager Dave Kevan confirmed: "Danny has been training regularly with the rest of the squad for two or three weeks now.

"He's had two reserve games in that time and he is available for selection."

Karbassiyoon seems certain to be handed a spot on the bench at Selhurst Park following the news that loan striker Karl Bermingham returned to Manchester City yesterday following two months at Turf Moor, where he made just one start, at Watford, and three substitute appearances.

Elsewhere, Graham Branch is the only injury doubt as Steve Cotterill's side go in search of their third successive away victory.

Kevan added: "We've been generally quite pleased with our performances, although there's obviously been one or two blips along the way. We've got a tough game at Palace, but we go there on the back of two away wins, so there's no reason to go there with any fear and I think that's important.

"Our current form is good and the level of performance is also good and, although that doesn't guarantee anything, it may provide a result along the way."

Kevan added: "It is going to be a tough game because they've got some excellent players - the majority with Premiership experience.

"But we'll set our stall out and see where it takes us. We're not going to defend for 90 minutes, but we will try and keep it tight and keep ourselves solid and compact, and try and break quickly and pose a threat."
