PLANS to build an undercover horse riding area at a disabled charity in Rishton have been approved by Hyndburn Council.
There were fears from members of the planning department that the facility, at Lords House Farm, would be used as a riding school by non-disabled riders.
But this was dismissed by the charity's chief executive Mary Walker who said the riding area will provide a vital area for disabled and disadvantaged children and adults to go horse riding.
She said: "I don't want to see Lords House Farm turn into a riding school, we will continue to work with the disabled clients that we currently work with."
