PRACTITIONERS and ex-practitioners such as Howard, Blair, Booth plus all the other MPs in Parliament and the establishment of that ilk who staff the (legal) justice system should never be allowed any say in crime legislation.
Re-offending puts fine wine in the cellar and BMWs in the garage next to the Bentley and the Merc. We must be crazy to allow it.
Defence, prosecute, sentence, yes. lay down the law, rules and regulations, no.
