JIM DIAMOND -- the man perhaps best known for Hi Ho Silver, the theme from the 1980s ITV show Boon -- is kicking off his European tour in the unlikely location of Leyland on October 14.
Diamond, who sold over eight million records in his music career and who scored a UK No.1 in 1984 with I Should Have Known Better, has teamed up with two musicians from Lancashire.
Croston-raised bassist Dominic Finley and Euxton-based keyboard player Paul Birchall have have helped him record a new album and will join him on his tour of Europe.
The group is holding the rehearsal and warm-up gig for the upcoming European tour at Worden Arts Centre, Leyland, and it's a great opportunity for die-hard fans to get a glimpse of their hero in this one-off special.
Diamond's other big smash hit was I Won't Let You Down.
Jim Diamond, Worden Arts Centre, Leyland on Friday, October 14. For tickets call 01772 455908.
