In the Citizen, April 6, it was reported that Chorley's Astley Park was to be the subject of a restoration project following the receipt of a £2.4 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Six months later the residents of Chorley have yet to see any evidence of any such improvements.
In fact, I agree with last week's correspondent that plans to move the pet's corner to the other side of the park, screened by changing rooms and trees, as well as being adjacent to the bonfire site will be a mistake and a waste of money.
