NEW YORK'S Thomas Truax is a troubadour - but not like any you've ever seen before. Truax (pronounced troo-aks) is the inventor of strange self-made instruments. See him and them in Lancaster on October 14.
As well as his now legendary Hornicator - a gramophone horn with strings - he's also backed by a motorised Flintstones-era drum machine he built called Sister Spinster.
It all comes together in exceptionally crafted, witty and often touching songs, mainly set in the fictional town of Wowtown.
His second album Audio Addiction is out now and his own radio serial, The Wowtown News, plays on Resonance FM in London.
Thomas Truax plays Feedback at the Collegian Social Club in Lancaster on Friday, October 14.
