ONE Self, the brainchild of hip hoppers DJ Vadim, Yarah Bravo and Blu Rum, have gone from strength to strength since the release of their debut single, Be Your Own.
The summer release of the beautiful Bluebird was also met with critical acclaim, and now comes Paranoid.
It begins with Yarah's rapping over a static string soundtrack, with Blu Rum coming on strong for the chorus.
But the two remixes of Paranoid are even better: J-Starr's Psychedelic dub version sounds like something from a ghost train, managing to convey real paranoia to the listener; while the instrumental is well worth immersing yourself in.
Released October 10, 2005.
