POLITICAL hip hoppers NMS (Nephlim Modulation Sessions) combine polemical fury with loud, angry rapping.
The album certainly gets the message through even if at times it is too obvious.
Opening track Chess With The Galaxies hits hard. Raw, in-yer-face rap meets an exploration into liberty and American Imperialism.
Evacuate The White House begins with a sample of children pledging allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
This is juxtaposed with frightening strings and samples concerning extermination and September 11.
Strike Back is a call-to-arms for the average American subject, while Get Him Signed is a depressing take on the military situation in the US.
And Last Day really hits home with lyrics about President Bush, global warming, and the miserable-looking future of the globe.
It undoubtedly needed to be said, but one wonders why they thought it necessary to write 13 tracks about, essentially, the same subject.
Released October 24, 2005.
