AS A tax payer I tend to agree with the council, let's get rid of the paddling pool if its going to save us £12,000 a year.
Where does Mrs Sutcliffe (Citizen, September 21) thinks this money is coming from and where does she get this idea of children being shocked if splashed by water? I played with my children at bath times by pouring water right over their heads so they would not be scared when out in the big wide world.
And as for the traffic she is worried about, maybe she should be fighting for the new link road - the lack of which is the cause of most traffic problems around here.
