I attended the AGM of South Lancs Arts Partnership (SLAP) on September 28 at Cedar Farm, Back Lane, Mawdesley, in my capacity as a trustee/director.
I am extremely pleased to be involved with the excellent work of SLAP. The principal activity of the company is that of a non-profit making organisation involved in the promotion of the arts.
For the second year grants made to the body topped £25,000, with almost a third spent on artist/tutors fees for workshops.
The remainder is used to support workshops; materials, equipment, rent, licences, advertising, transport, printing, light and heat insurance and so on.
Borough and County Councillor Mark Perks
